Danay Trest and Mani Iyer
Danay | Hi! Mani and I are both affected with Usher Syndrome (USH), the most common cause of combined deafness and blindness. Though it challenges us constantly, we strive to make the best of our unexpected daily circumstances. Mani is someone I can call to snap me out of my USH challenges. I admire the efforts he contributes to Usher Syndrome Coalition (USC), his strength, wisdom and his motivation to make happen what is best for our USH community in the future. He is my USH friend! Like USC, we want the world to be aware, know and understand "What is USH?" Your contribution to USC on our behalf would be sincerely appreciated. Our USH family will continue to spread awareness and accelerate research. Together, let's show our support, hope and pray for a cure to end USH!
Mani | Danay and I met through the Usher Syndrome Coalition and have become good friends supporting each other through rough times. Usher syndrome challenges us daily, from sunrise to sunset. We are excited to do our share to own the equinox, lest we not be consumed by darkness.
We will be walking the mile-a-thon from August 25th to September 19th. Help us find a cure by donating generously to the Usher Syndrome Coalition.
