Timothy Chambers’ USH Steeple Study: Sunrise

Limited Offer! Last Giving Tuesday, USH Visionaries received Dawn, the first painting in Timothy Chambers’ stunning USH Steeple Study series. Timothy, a master painter with Usher syndrome, captures the visual experience of retinitis pigmentosa through four remarkable paintings depicting a steeple at different times of day.

This year, as a heartfelt token of our gratitude, USH Visionaries who sign up before December 31st and give at least $50 monthly will receive a 5"x7" canvas print of Sunrise, the second work in the series.

“This series was inspired by my retinal specialist at Johns Hopkins when he said, ‘Tim, rather than paint things as they are 'supposed to be,' show the world what your Usher eyes see.’

These on-location studies capture the Usher visual experience at specific lighting conditions. It is a vigorous endeavor to be sure for, as Monet observed 120 years prior, ‘the light constantly changes, and that alters the atmosphere and beauty of things every minute.'
