Studying abroad in a foreign country is a challenge but can be rewarding as you experience another culture. By experiencing another culture, you are exposed to different traditions, language, values and beliefs. However, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) does not apply abroad because you are not in the United States. Instead, your accommodations will be based on what the host institution has available to you. Therefore, to study abroad you need to prepared beforehand and understand your expectations.
